No not really. A phillips or normal screw drive just make it difficult. Best bet is getting a set of torx drivers from a hardware store, using them, and try to take them back.

To completely take it apart you need three different sizes I believe. I don't remember when I did it.

Torx t10 is the only size I needed if I remember right..

That could be...mine was an original one. I remember I needed a t9 to get the CPU off.

The interior ones are smaller I believe..He only said open the xbox..I didn't think he would be taking off the heat sink and all that.

my friends dad had a set of torx wrench's. he said that the screws are used a ton of stuff like tail lights and sh.t, i got it open, we kinda of ran out of ideas of what to do...
