The idea came to me earlier today after seeing a pathetic number of only 4 hosts for Halo 1 on XBC.

I for one am sick of seeing such a low number of people playing Halo 1 and then seeing everyone proclaiming how much better Halo 1 is compared to Halo 2. It's time to go back and play the game we all know and love.

For those of you newer to this, Halo 1 can be played "online" using a program called Xbox Connect. It runs on your computer, and works by connecting to host you can choose from a list, then the game will show joinable in the System Link part of the game.

I think this can be a huge success, but not without all of the communitie's participation. Tell your friends, talk to other forum members, post a link to this thread in your signatures so we can get as many games available in as many states as possible across the U.S. so people can enjoy low-ping games, no matter where they live.

I think waiting until August 1st gives this just enough time to get known, and spread to as many people as possible. So again, tell everyone you know so this can get as huge as possible. Post a link to this in your signature!

No, I am not amazing at Halo 1, but I have fun playing. I will be playing with 3 other friends of mine on this day on XBC so I expect to see everyone else doing the same.

If there is anything in this thread incorrect, please reply telling me what. I couldnt find direct links to any old Halo CE gametypes, so I just used the philly ones. If there are any errors above with the Gametype to Map chart, please let me know.

I also posted this over at MLGPRO, where I am keeping a growing list of XBC tags of the players who reply to the thread. If you want your name added to the list, please go over to my other thread and reply since it would be a real hassle to maintain two seperate lists.
