If you have a good wireless signal along w/ a good internet speed you should be just fine. But I assume you are not the only one using the wireless connection, that should drop your internet connection some.

Hubs just connect computers with one another. If you send a file to another computer, all computers on that hub will be aware. Routers are smart, comunicating and asigning IP addresses to computers. They can be programmed to understand and manipulate data.

Both your computer and your xbox cannot be connected to the internet wirelessly. I have my computer on a wired connection, and my xbox on a wireless connection and my ping is usually never over 60.

Im useing linksys wireless, i dont see much lag on live, but on connect i have ping somewhere in the mid hundreds, which isnt that good. But then again, i have dsl, so that will affect the speed. If you have Cox and a clean pathway between the router and adapter, it shouldnt have much ping at all.
