I would like XBC alot more if it wasn't for the lag

I have played more halo ce recently and started back on xbc but man the lag is awful, any tips or tricks to get through the lag and so i can play well?

Get in a not-so-laggy server. And learn to lead. If you don't know much about leading or anything let me know and I'll help you out.

Leading is just basically shooting where the player will be in about 30milliseconds. so if he's going up a hill, yes aim ahead and up. if falling from a drop or jump aim lower and ahead. Strafing, aim in between pivot points and lead so he basically just walks into your shot. That's all I can really say about leading.

Hey Caligula, ya, if you wanna be a better off-host player, just listen to NthEric's advise, and keep practicing. Also, if lag is starting to bother you, feel free to host for a couple of games.

Yea lags always been one of the problems on XBC but you learn to live with it. Just host games and people will join with time.

thanks for the tips, if n e of you want to ever play some xbc look me up gt: Caligula. it would be nice to find some players to play with all the time like on i do on live.

i stopped playing halopc because of the lag, i just got back on and couldnt even play.

True, but you can get use to the lag over time, and practice makes perfect. So, if you did play enough, you could really get use to the lag, and start actually beating people off-host, like Ripp0n

. Now, of course you wouldn't win every game, but you could become a much tougher opponent.

this is true, after about maybe 10 games i found myself actully getting used to the lag subconsciously. and i started to get better

Yep, just keep playing and you'll keep gradually improving as time goes on. Experience is probally the deadliest weapon in Halo
