To tell you the truth, me and most HaloPC players I know suck when on-host now and are much better off-host. After a couple minutes I get used to not leading when I host though and rape completely because it's so easy though. But if you get used to the lag you'll be much better. To find the lead on the server throw a nade, see how long it takes to come out. That will tell you how much you'll have to lead.

Yep, one time I threw a 'nade and it took a whole 45 seconds to come out. I then appropriately left the game, LOL.

Probably. Then I most likely got piwzownenenedeededddd cause I'm not used to Xbox Controller, Auto-Aim, Sencitivity, lead, or the FOV of the Xbox Version then I left complaining and saying the PC version is much better and telling you to play it.

I hate xbconnect when playin halo1, my pistol shots always lag, and im usually preety good with it. Also, for some reason, its friken hard for my xbox to get into a connect game. but i still play it anyways to enjoy the great ol' halo ce.

Another thing that helps if you're playing offhost is not to use precision weapons until you're accustomed to the lag. For instance, for the first few minutes use things like AR's and Plasma rifles, then once you get it down start droppin' em with the pistol. The plasma rifle is especially good for this because you can see where the shots are going and it makes it a lot easier to compensate. Also, once you hit them once, they're basically dead.

Could someone please tell me what CE means? Sorry to sound like a noob but I'm a actually pretty freakin good at halo 1 I just never knew what it ment. And I played a friend off-host a halo 1 and didn't do too badly. I no-scoped him from a very long distance away and I was proud.

i agree. i dled xbc so i could play halo 1, but i found the lag was too much for me to actually get into the game.
