It's a lil bit offtopic: the "XBC" vs. "Live" subject, but i just wanna give my opinion, since the other topic got flamed... I've played halo 1 to the bone @ XBC before halo 2 came out. It was the good ol' time .The "multiplayer-feeling-of-lans" was put to a higher level for xbox multiplayer/fps's. The level of the players was amazing sometimes, so good competition. Then I decided to buy xbox Live (reason: moto GP series). The service and the experience I got there is very good. Just a few clicks and your ready to play. Just before halo 2 came out, my 1-year suscribtion ended. And after that my parents creditcard was expired or something, so i could't get another year of live. Then halo 2 came out. I started lanning and XBC'ing again. Lots of good, and a few "little-(bad)-details" changes. I expected more of the campaign, but the multiplayer mode set the new standard for console multiplayer/online gaming. The skill levels @ halo 2 are très bien. Multiplayer on both XBC and live is fun. But there are similarities between XBC and Live: The buddy/friends list thingy... It's good to play with friends and evenly-skilled people. Also playing scrims and clanwars are cool. But it's the thing that if you are going to explore the world of halo 2 ( :P ), the chances are becoming greater that you walk up to some1 who isn't so nice. Or people who are new to this game: so called n00bs. Or cheaters and such. It's a fact that Live has more players then XBC, but you can get loads of good AND (hopefully some less) bad experiences on both. It's just what you make of it.

WoW, finally said all of it :P

But back to topic, and in responce to Sunny.
I don't have a router, and i think my windows xp has service pack 2. But it's not a big problem... When you click it away @ the start, it disappears for the rest of the time. Just wanted to know this.

thanks for the support man, that's my point, i think good people exist in both programs.... of course live is a bigger community, so maybe exists more people in live, but who knows....

that's happen with xbc... if you wanna click arroba you need to tdo it pressing Alt gr and Q or 2 alll depending in your keyboard...

And then if you don't have a router how is connected yous xbox, directly to your computer????....

ok, mr. experience... i will not reply you again about this.... and by the way.... even if you have three years of experience, that doesn't make a difference... in all situations remains the chance that you are wrong.... uis well known that all the things we know have the chance of changing on the next day.... i was thinking about 7 months ago, i was a very good player, then i saw for first time a montage and realize myself i wasn't.... i thought that again, about three months ago, and realized myself that i was wrong again.... and right know man, while i'm capturing, i realized myself that do a good montage and be a good player aren't the same thing... nad realized too that there are still people better than me... a few that i know and maybe a lot that i don't ever think about them....

The point is, you can't be sure of nothing... your experience doesn't mean a sh.t...

that's the true....

You seem to be wrong OFTEN, I don't think you can even trust yourself..how can I be wrong, when you admit even you and yoru brain can't agree on something simple....lol..and by NOT replying to me with a "reply" your contradicting yourself once more.....

p.s. ....I'm right...

look man, you have to check in the configuration window, if the ip that appears there, is the same you have configurated on your pc.... you can check that on control panel, network connections, your connection, properties, tcp/ip protocole.... there is your ip.... (maybe there says obtain ip automatically....) ...

If says obtain ip automatically, go to your router settings and check on connection summary, or something like that, what is the ip you have on there.... remmember man, you must have the port that xbc uses open, to let it access the internet.... if it don't , you will never be allowed to host a game... you must have in your router settings xbc allowed, and don't blocked.... you also check that on wondows xp firewall settings (if windows is service pack 2)....

all the thing that matters man, are two points....

1.- Make sure, the ip that is detecting xbc, is the same that you are using on your pc...

2.- make sure xbc is allowed in windows firewall and your router firewall...

3.- MAke sure the mac adress that appears on xbc is the same you have on your xbox... and after that add that mac adress to your router settings (you must do this only if you are using a wireless router...)....

With this three points checked... you will gain access to all features on xbc... you have one of this problems, or all of them.... is very easy to repair them... not big deal... is just that to further help, on how to check this three points, i need more information... you said to me a while before your router brand... i sent you a pm on how to access your router settings...

when you checked this points , tell me what happen...

Any questions man, please tell me and gladly i will help you....
