Alrighttey so I'm completely new to the whole XBC thing but heres whats up

I have the thingey installed, i have a log in, and i have halo 1 and a 360 ( lol )

I go to the " looking for games " screen and then log in, I tell it to find my console and it shows that it found something but it's just a series of numbers and not an actual console name. Then if I try to join a host it doesn't work..

The way I have it set up is

Modem ethernet to router, and then my laptop's ethernet to another router slot, and the xbox 360 ethernet into another router slot. is that what's wrong?

thanks for any input

not too sure. what's that card?

what I have is

Modem with an ethernet in it, that ethernet goes into the main router slot. then my laptop has an ethernet that goes into one of the router's spare slots, and my xbox 360 ethrnet goes into a diferent spare slot..

OK, plug your xbox directly into your laptop, that's what the card is. You may have to bridge your connection, then reforward your ports, that's how I got it working for me.

Haha.

Sorry, I will try to explain this better.

Yes, you plug your Xbox ethernet crdo into your ethernet port on your laptop (this is what that card is in the diagram). This will allow you to access the internet wirelessly through your laptop. Do you understand this far?

Ok, once you've done this, open up XBC and see if it will find your console.
