| | It won't let me Here's how I'm set up: My computer is connected to my network via wireless adapter. My Xbox is connected via 100ft ethernet cable which is connected to my router. I could split the cable and connect both via ethernet, but I don't know if it will do anything. When I open up XBC and try to join a game, it tells me that it cannot recognize my console. I really wanna play some H1 multiplayer, anyone wanna help me out?

| | I have the same setup as you do. Make sure the ethernet cable you're using is a crossover, not a straight-through. You can tell if it's a crossover if the colors on both ends don't match. Enable ICS on the Local Area Connection and setup a static IP on the wireless adapter. If you can't enable ICS, try going into your router's configuration page and change the IP of the router to 192.168.2.1, and the DHCP start and end addresses to 192.168.2.2 and 192.168.2.254 respectively. If you still can't detect your Xbox, then look here: http://people.msoe.edu/~westabyd/XBC...uide/Index.htm | |||||
