Every-time I put a disc into my 360 it says "Unplayable Disc" at the bottom of the screen. Supposedly this happened to a friend of a friend, and he had to send it back to M$ for repair.

Is there any kind of quick fix I can get done without spending $100 and waiting a month?

Not sure if there is a quick fix. The disc tray sounds like its dead and as far as I know there isn't a fix for it.

But, I don't read around the net a lot for 360 fixes.

Be very careful, because the problem might not be just the tray but the optical eye also perhaps that why the console cannot read the discs, the best option is to send it to repair.

Well if you dont care about your warranty buy a new DVD drive from one of these xbox 360 modding sites.
