Scott?... anyone?
I don't recommend those at all.

"Gaming headphones" are always crap. No exceptions.

1. $50-$100
2. 50% gaming, 50% music.
3. Screamo/Hardcore
4. Doesn't Matter.
5. Closed preferably but I could deal with open.

really? even though they seem to be modeled after the ER-4P's? What would you recommend around that budget then? Senn hd 595? or AT AD-700? (even though i personally don't like purple)

Scott, you're a God. I'm going to probably buy those Audio-Technica ATH-AD700 Air Headphones.

Even if they are good, they're not worth $180. I can almost guarantee $180 headphones would sound better than those. Like I said earlier, AD700 are easily the best gaming headphones under $200. Their imaging and soundstage is unmatched.

AKG K501 would be the best if you had an amp, which is unlikely. For the amount of gaming you do then either Audio Technica A500s or HD555s would be good choices. I'm not sure which is better out of the two though as I've never tried the A500, but either would be good choices.

1. Budget - under $100
2. Uses percentage - 100% music
3. Music taste - Rap, Rock, i usually listen to some Dane Cook or Chris Rock
4. Preferred sound signature - More bass the better
5. Open or closed style - Closed

I'd suggest Alessandro MS1, but they very light on bass. However, they are some of the best sounding headphones you can get under $200. You should check out Equation Audio RP21:

Save for the Beyerdynamic DT 770, they're the bassiest (while still pretty decent overall) headphones in the price range.

The JVC Marshmellows Scott told me about are absolutely fantastic. They are really great with blocking out sound and the sound quality is the best I've had so far.

Been using Senn 555's for about 2 years now, they've been great, but looking for something better and newer.

Budget is <£150
Usage - XBL/LAN, PC Gaming/PC LAN, Music, TV.
Music Taste - diverse, I usually listen to things on a dance EQ if that helps.
Sound Signature - all round.
Open or Closed - preferbly open.

Been thinking about getting the Astro Gaming A40's a few months down the line, they work out about £120. Will I get what I'm paying for, and will they be suitable for all my different needs?

Ty in advance.
