hey scott do u have any recommendations for a good gaming amp. I'm having trouble hearing teammates voices when a nade goes off or I'm in a gun fight. I have senns 555 and basically I need the volume for teammate voices higher and game sound a tad bit lower if that makes any sense at all. thanks

Bungie Stats

1. $0-$100
2. 100% music
3. Metal/hip hop
4.
5. preferably closed, dont mind tho

well i looked at denon ahd301's, pretty cheap but dont know if it would be worth spending extra money for something else. im looking for quite portable headphones. any thoughts on the 301's or other recomendations ?

edit: ive also looked at sennheiser 555's and 595's, they seem really good but im kinda worried about the 63 mm jack, using it on the go with my ipod would propably break the socket eventually, the plug being so long with a converter anyone got any experience using these with an ipod?

Well, I do like my SkullCandy earbuds. But I got 175 from my B-day, I was either gonna buy more ram, better vid card, two 500gb drives for Raid, or finally getting a good set of headphones.

What were the ones that you said were better then the HD555's now? Denon something I think?

Denon D2000 for $220 if you're looking for a closed pair for music. Or Audio Technica AD700 if you're looking for an open pair for gaming, but are still good for music. Just not as good as the Denon's.

Denon D1000 for portable closed headphones.

You could get the Astro A40 Mixamp... $130 on the Astro Website (astrogaming.com.) Its used by MLG, and it has Dolby Headphone Technology which would be good for gaming. From what I understand though, it does leave out a section of low range sound-waves (from 0-35hz), but it should still be fine for gaming.

Here is a list of portable headphone amps-

I really don't know much about most of them though...

Haha, hey. I'm kind of tired of the MLG forums tbh, so I thought I would check this place out, haha.
