Yes if your burn in the headphones for a few hours they'll get better.

But Skullcandy's are terrible, it's not even worth it.

100 dollars +/-
Cool color/ design (Like Skullcandy but I feel like a n00b saying that :/ )
Nice bass ( I like my rap )

Get the Denon's. They're closed, very comfortable and their bass is really good.

You're not going to find obnoxious looking things like Skullcandy's that are actually good.

The AKG are on the ear, but have good isolation, but if you really like rap/hip-hop, they are an awesome pair for $60 (I plan on getting a pair for my older brothers college graduation). Not nearly as comfortable as the others. Denon's have a good detailed bass and really has some depth; very, very comfortable. Equation, most will say, have more bass than the Denon, but don't have the comfort and all-around detail like the Denon. The M-Audio are quite new and there are very few user reviews. From what has been said, much like the Denon and Equation; deep bass and nice depth and detail to that bass. I will be getting a pair as soon as I sell my Sony V600s.

Indeed, Skullcandy = garbage...

Funny thing I bought their buds a long time back for $20 now their $40...

It's down to AKG's or Equations....
