I'm not sure of the differences, but these and Westone UM1 are the 3 most commonly recommended under $100.

Closed headphones under $50. Hmm. There really aren't any I can recommend here. Closed headphones start getting good around the $120+ price range. Even then, really good closed headphones are few and far between.

Sennheiser PX 100 would be a good choice though under $50. I believe they're open, though.

1. $100-$150
2. 98% music, 2% other computer stuff
3. Alternative/Rock
4. Doesn't really matter.
5. Closed would be better I suppose, but I could live with open.

You should check out Grado SR125. Grado's are generally seen as the best rock headphones out there. Their sound quality is unmatched if you like their sound.

If you want to be safe (some people don't like their sound), there is also the M-Audio Q40's. They were actually going to be my next headphones but I bought an mp3 player instead. Review of them here:

hey. has anyone had expierience with this headset http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pr_product_top. I plan to use it for PC gaming and for xbox with this http://www.steelseries.com/us/produc...or/information. They're pretty expensive but i've only heard good things so far through the research i have done, also all the consumers who have written reviews loved it. Are there better headphones for the money? Scott?... anyone?
