I got the Astro's because I wanted a built in mic and wanted them for computer use. They look great and i think they will be worth it when they arrive.

Oh well.

Your selling a computer right now right? You planning on building a new one or what?

My 555's just go in nao.

I'm thinking about adding a sound card to the build, because even though there is a massive difference between these and my sh.tty $30 set, I know it should be bigger.

Even so, their f..king amazing.

I do agree. On many levels. Only kids who are going to go to events and place top 16 regularly in any game should even consider buying headphones. As for me, I got some Trittion Technology AX360s from the US (Im in canadeh) as a gift for christmas couple years back and they work amazingly for Call of duty 4. I NEVER use them for halo 3 because there really is no point. These headphones are just phenomenal but not practical. Overall it was a waste of my parents money to have these $150 beasts always sitting beside the TV.

Aye, was a waste indeed. $150 could have gotten something that was actually good. ;o

Well from your recommendations I bought the Grado Sr80s a while back from a local store and I have never looked back. The sound quality is superb and the 50s retro look is very unique.

Scott,

I can get the Sennheiser 515 for $40 dollars from my friend. They are in great condition and I've tried them on myself and they seem great. But that's because I've never tried any other headphone.

I want them 99% for gaming. Should I buy them or put up another 60 dollars and get some better headphones.

Scott, I need some advice on what kind of headphones to get. I want them for 90% music, and the other 10% for gaming really, just CS:S and CoD4. I don't need a mic, just the headset. Any recommendations?
