Thanks Scout. It's rare to see someone that actually knows what there talking about give you personalized results.

1. $120 including xbox adapter
2. 100% gaming
3. Rock but it's not intended for music
4. I don't really know. I guess a good all-around.
5. Preferably closed.

Budget, comfort, and gaming performance means more than sound quality to me. I'm the total opposite of an audiophile. As long as I have a comfortable, non-staticy mic and earphones that has wide soundstages I'm fine. Oh and I would like if it last more than the 3 months I got out of my stock xbox mic. Any suggestions on xbox adapters if needed?

I would like a built-in mic if possible. I don't care if it's not up to your standards since my standards are pretty low.

If you can't suggest one with a built-in mic what is the best option? I don't want to get things too complicated. I heard turtle beach is bad. Is it the sound quality, gaming performance, build quality, or comfort that is bad? I'm looking into ear force x3 headset, sennheiser hd 555, or Tritton AX360. Any recommendations?

Well out of those I'm going to recommend the HD555s as they are the only ones that are actually good on the list.

I'm not challenging your judgment or opinion but you seem to say it's either good or bad. When you say it's bad do you mean the sound quality, comfort, build quality, etc.? I'm looking for one that you can clearly hear if a grenade is in front or behind you. I don't even care if it is lacking highs or lows since I can't even hear the difference.

Everything, really. Particularly the sound though, headsets sound awful.
