Aye, they're very good. Can't help but get the feeling I need to upgrade though heh. I prefer them to my old Denon D2000s anyway. The midrange is way better and the highs aren't as harsh.

Budget: Under $200
Usage: Gaming, and music. I'd like to wear them when I'm out (school, for example) so nothing to big or ridiculous looking
Music Taste: Rap, Rock, whatever really. I like a nice bass.
Open or Closed?: Gimme a taste of both, then I'll decide.

The M-Audio Q40s are remotely portable; they fold up and you can unplug the cord. They also look pretty sweet. I personally wouldn't take any $100+ headphones to school, except maybe if they were earbuds.

Not so much school, because it's over for me in a week. But I don't want to look like a retard when I wear them outside of the house.

Denon D1000 or Audio Technica ES7. Both are very portable and sound awesome.

How are the sound of those headphones compared to the Senn 555's?

Yeah, I just bought the Denon AH-D1000's. I read the reviews and they all said they were amazing headphones for the price. I'm excited to get them, and to finally hear music in all its glory.

Saw you sold the DV there a couple days ago Scott.

Just picked up the HD580 with HD600 grills, and I'm trying to decide whether I should pick up a DV 336i or something in the Little Dot line in the future. Price range = $275ish, more or less. Getting the impression the 336i is much more accessible to tube-rolling... so. :-\

Yeah, my parents really need money so I sold it for them. It wasn't THAT good anyway, I wouldn't say it was a $400 upgrade.

Hey I'm in the market for some around ear headphones. Ive got about 300$ ready to spend if I can find something I like. I'd be using the headphones 100% for music. I'm usually listening to Trance/Techno music, so quality bass is a must. As long as they are portable and work with my Ipod ill be happy. Any reccomendations?
