Scott, how long is each period between your purchases? A month or two? Or do you buy a bunch at once and pick which ones you like and sell the others?

I think i'm an addicted audiophile... kind of... already thinking about my next purchase (thinking about maybe looking at some Grados.)

1. Budget: $200 max. Preferably closer to the $100 level. I'm also living in England, if that makes any difference.

2. Usage: Roughly 80% gaming, 20% music. May vary.

3. Usually rock. Top bands: SOAD, Feeder, Rancid, Linkin Park. Probably my most frequented. Though I do listen to some rap, pop etc. Anything good, unfortunately.

4. My knowledge isn't great here. All-rounders will probably be best.

5. Open. I wanna be able to hear people yelling at me.

Cheers very much.

I guarantee that Scott will recommend these to you. They're amazing for gaming, and should work great for music as well.

Yep!

Dunno where you're going to get them over here though mate. I imported mine from Japan (www.audiocubes) ages ago. They're on iheadphones.co.uk for like £80 though.

My dad has a pair of THESE and I use them whenever I go home. I think they sound pretty f..king great, but they're like the only headphones I've used in the past 4 yrs that aren't Apple Earbuds

Do they have gold or silver rings on the outside of the ear cup?

If they're silver, then you have some amazingly amazing headphones. If they're gold, you have some pretty decent headphones.

Heh, that's OK. K240S' are still pretty good.

The K240 Sextett's (the ones with the silver) are really good though. The earlier models were made in the 70s and they sound amazing from what I've heard.

I've just got my Zero DAC and man, this thing is awesome. This alone can drive my HD650s just as well as my Darkvoice 332 can.

For $110 it's an absolute steal if you need a source to upgrade from a sound card or onboard motherboard audio. This thing blows my EMU 0202 away, and that's a lot better than most sound cards.
