My headphones have been through a lot of falls and smashes and there starting to die.

So i am going to need a new pair for no more than $50.

Just for music.

They're for the US and Canada as of right now, European programs are projected to start around the fall if everything goes well.

Also, those SR-60's i mentioned earlier were not from the program, they were my friends, still haven't received the pair from the program yet.

Alright, if somebody could just briefly explain this to me:

If I get the M-Audio Revolution 5.1 & Sennheiser HD555's, will I be good to go?

What's an amp? Everybody keeps talking about them. I'm so used to just plugging in my headphones/speakers and listening away.

Woo I just got my HD555s as a birthday present a couple hours ago and they're great, however, when I try to hear my tv through them it doesn't work. I have an adapter that goes from the RCA A/v cables to a female jack and it won't work when I plug them in. It's ok because I love them for music as it is.

About the *amp, it's a device that *amplifies the sound, usually making it higher quality. It also gives your headphones a volume control if they don't have one.

I might get HD-555's for my birthday, a new LCD HDTV, or maybe some new earbuds.

What kind of earbuds would you recommend maybe about 50-75 bucks.

Get AD700s instead of HD555s. Same price from newegg.

I don't really follow IEMs much. Etymotic ER6i's get recommended a lot, but they don't have much bass if that's what you like.

I'm able to live with little bass, I'm not a bass freak like I was.

Thanks.
