You love the sound because you think more bass = better sound. Skullcandy's might as well be subwoofers - they product only bass, which is why they sound so terrible.

To each his own, Scott.

People like what they like, and that's all I can say. I mean, it's nice you have your own thread helping people here decide what headphones to get (...?) but if people like more bass than you should recommend a good pair of high bass headphones, right?

Yeah, sure. But there are headphones that have lots of bass and still sound good. Skullcandy's nothing but bass, which is very very bad no matter what way you look at it.

What's with the "(...?)" anyway?

Oh, it is just that you have a stickied thread on headphone recommendations... nothing against you or anything, you're a good guy, I like ya and all, but I just think it is kinda funny about the whole thread thing and how much people really like to buy quality headphones.

Again, it is sweet you're helping people, but kind of an awkward topic that has so many replies, lol.

It wasn't even my idea to sticky it in the first place. I didn't even know this thread was being made.

If there was a "HDTV Recommendation thread" would you feel the same way? Because it's exactly same. Only difference is people buy HDTVs for picture quality, and headphones for audio quality.

I don't see how it's awkward at all. Care to explain?

No.. Cause people tend to think headphones in general are crap, & a sorry alternative to speakers.. That anything over 50.00 for a pair of headphones is a rip off, cause they are just headphones. Of course when people hear a quality pair, especially with good gear, they drop their jaw & can't get that goofy look off their face..

Nah I haven't.

I plan to listen to some modded K340s and a pair of Sextett's at some point though.

Scott... the thing is, HDTVs are generally more expensive than headphones, right? Lol, I don't see how you can compare the two, actually.

Headphones never last long, if they last more than a year or two, then great, but HDTVs are usually a big purchase, something you think about, when I am buying headphones, I usually just go with ones that are not cheap, but not $90 at the same time.

A year or two? Read this.

Clearly you don't know anything about headphones so why are you even posting here? Just because you don't care about audio quality doesn't mean everybody shouldn't.
