A Picks Competition anyone can play along. The premise is simple: We pick the winners of every regular season NFL football game. The person who correctly predicts the most winning teams in the winner. Matchups are posted weekly by me or someone else. Here are the rules of the contest and some suggestions to follow in the thread.

1. Please make a simple, easy-to-read post when making your picks. By making your picks posts simple to understand it minimizes the chances of me either miscalculating your score or missing your post altogether. I offer a simple list that should be cut-and-pasted when making your picks, but if you feel the need to personalize, please keep it simple.

2. Your picks must be in before kick-off of each game. Kick off times will be posted in EST time, meaning a 1pm kickoff starts at 10am in California. If your late with your picks, you'll receive an automatic loss for each game you're late on. This way no one's getting an advantage by watching the game and then "accidentally" forgetting to post their picks.

3. Everyone starts off in the "Complete Picks" pile which gives you the opportunity to win the Picks Thread competition. If you miss a week or a few games you will be dropped into the "Incomplete Picks" pile which makes you inelligible to win the competition. This also makes it easier for me to keep track of who's regularly participating and who isn't.

4. If you want to climb out of the "Incomplete Picks" pile you can take an "0-fer". This gives you an automatic loss for every game you missed BUT it puts you back in contention to win the competition. Nothing is certain, so don't feel like you're automatically out of the competition if you miss a few games. You can also keep playing regardless of your standing.

Brett Favre is likely to be traded to the Bucs and it could go through today according to the Tampa Tribune.

I could really care less where he ends up. But I'm really getting sick of hearing about him every damn day.

Im glad that ordeal is finally over. Though this is going to be on ESPN for like a week though lol.

Eagles' Westbrook to be be paid as 'best running back in football'

PITTSBURGH -- Brian Westbrook and the Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a new contract on Friday, hours before the team opened its preseason schedule against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

ESPN.com's John Clayton reported Westbrook's revised contract will pay him at least $21 million over the next three years, according to a source.
