There is talk of Ortiz/Kimbo. Ortiz has been talking trash about him and his UFC contract is up after his fight with Machida. I don't see it happening since their are 2 different weight classes, though.

Haha...back when Gracie's was fighting there wasn't...oh man those were the days. If any of you ever get a chance...go to blockbuster and rent UFC's 1 and 2.

Soooo many incredible fight clips in there. They actually used to fight tournament style with 10 minute rounds. So to "win" a UFC, you actually need to win like 3 fights in the same night...sooo amazing.

But yeah...I was sort of commenting on them continuing to match Kimbo up with the greatest fighters of yesterday. He needs to fight some fresh bodies.

well whether he's fighting shamrock or not. kimbo is just a bunch of hype. He would get worked so bad in the ufc. he's lost to people that have made it to ufc and got destroyed. so he would only do worse.
I personally don't like all the hype about fighters like him that aren't good. the last thing we need is names getting in the ufc instead of skill. There are a lot of good fighters out there who aren't getting as much attention, which is sad.

Omg the early UFC's were amazing. I bought all the dvd's for them, obviously I wasn't watching them when they aired. Helio Gracie used to fight for 13-14 hours straight to win fights with no breaks. That must have been boring as sh.t all ground game, but that's BJJ. Alot of those early fighters come from intense backgrounds like that fighting in open bouts.

The best I think was when everyone was expecting this sumo wrestling 415 pound monster to completely demolish Gerard Gordeau I think it was. This was either The Beginning, or No Way Out, but Gordeau was 200 pounds and the same height. Teila Tuli, the guy he was fighting, rushed him and got knocked out by a head kick. That's what the UFC was about.

Anyway, The Tito and Kimbo fight won't happen most likely ever unless Kimbo can find a way to cut down to 205 (unlikely with that build). I think you'll see a Headhunter vs. Kimbo matchup after he fights Berry/Antonio Silva/Cabbage whoever it is.

Curran is a damn good fighter. I got to watch him fight Charles Bennett in 05 at a King of the Cage. Krazy Horse slammed him pretty good, but he was so damn quick with those submissions.

The reason why fighters like him don't get much publicity is they fight at lower weight classes. UFC needs to expand the WEC more and start really showing those fighters under LW. There is so many great fighters that people haven't seen because all they know are 155ers and up.

A great match to see that shows heart is Saku/Royce 1 during the first Pride GP. Royce wanted special rules and Saku complied. Funny how Saku beat Royce at his own game.

But Kimbo will not be fighting Antonio Silva. I bet he will get either Berry or Cabbage. Berry might not be a good choice, but he really doesn't have a good record. Severn choked him out a couple of years ago. Even if this fight did happen and Kimbo won, I still question Kimbo.

Cabbage would be a legit choice. Someone who likes to swing and is now washed up. Cabbage has been on a downward spiral. He has been in there with top competition and fans know him, so why not. Still can't believe that Antonio Silva threw a flying knee at him and connected.
