Well yeah the point of defense is to stop the other team from scoring, but a good defense does much more than that.


They impact the game in many more ways, the most important probably being field position and turnovers.


It doesn't mean a whole lot when you stop a team that has already gotten down to your 10 yard line, that means you have to go 90 yards to score.


And since that probably won't happen you're just going to end up punting and giving the other team good field position.


And you know what they say:

Great defenses when championships.........and we all know how that turned out.

And yeah I would rank the Eagles defense 3rd in the NFC East.

Giants>Cowboys>Eagles=Redskins

Terry Glenn finally got cut from the Cowboys, thank god. Hopefully this opens up more competition for our younger WR's.

What does being "over" him have to do with them releasing him? They may be over the guy and want to move on, but they aren't stupid enough to just release him.

My guess is that he'll be the starter once again in 08. Especially if he shows up for camp tomorrow.

I know what they said. Favre didn't show up to camp anyways. If he was able to compete for the job and show up to camp, he'd win the job easily and be the starter.

Yeah I don't think anybody will give up a 1st rounder for Favre. So he's probably stuck with the Packers.
