All of my friends say that I should try out for our high school football team next year. I'm tall (6 ft 2 in) and in my opinion, very fast. My friends say that if I work my hands better on the football, they say I would be perfect for wide receiver. Should I give it a shot?

What grade are you in?
Is there any legit people that you would consider better than you at your position?
You should also question your desire and ability for the sport of football, it's a very demanding sport that comes with consequences.

If you are going to be a WR, being tall and fast helps but yes you must work on your hands every single day if you want to get better. I'm a tight end for my highschool and i'm primarily used for passing plays instead of running plays.

All you have to do is work on your hands and maybe become a little more faster and you will have a very good chance at succeding in football.

Being speedy and tall are very important traits that not many receivers have (in combination, I mean). If you've got both you should definitely give football a try. You never know, maybe you'll end up liking it too.
