And playing reiciever is ALOT more then just being able to catch and if this is your first year playing football your WAY behind so I would suggest you start running through ladders now. Its going to take alot of footwork, which can be said for virtually all skill positions. If your 40 time isnt atleast a 4.4 your not considered "fast" persay anymore. Now its more of a standard for most recievers to run that. At 6 2 alot is possible though.

Posts: 446 | Whoever said anything over 4.4 isn't fast has obviously never played high school football. Anything near or under 4.8 is going to be faster than the majority of people on an average high school football team, and there aren't even that many NFL players that can run a 4.4. Furthermore, the 40 isn't even that good of a indicator of speed. It doesn't take into account quickness of cuts or game speed. If most people think you're fast, then you'll probably be faster than most people you play against.

Posts: 142 | go for it. i never really liked footballed since i only played baseball, and was like f..k it,im gona play. played first year this year as sophmore, on jv but was one of the best on jv and had a sh.t load of fun. its always fun to try somethin new so go for it. you also make a lot of new friends, so you cant go wrong
