the only reason the suns made this deal is because their defense is horrible and they needed an inside presence. the only time he needs to be healthy is during the playoffs and he will fit in and be that big man that they have been lacking. their only problem now is nash being on the floor to guard the west's elite point guards because he gets torched night in and night out by Williams (Utah) Paul (New Orleans) and Davis (Golden State) and Iverson (Denver) all of which will be playoff teams. in the end Kerr will either be a genious or a moron....it will be interesting to see how it all works out

I say this is great for the Heat. Nobody talks about them here anymore, and it was only two years ago that they were the talk of the town. Some change is what we need right now. Shaq hasn't been at 100% in a long time, and an up and coming Shawn Marion is a great gain for us.

So far, this trade looks like is was sh.t from the get-go.

Lost to Lakers,
Beat the Celtics only because they were pathetic in that game,
Got blown out to the Pistons on their home-court on National TV.

Suns with Shaq: 1-2

Suns have lost to the Lakers and to the Pistons. If they want to win a championship, they better work harder to include Shaq because so far, they suck.

Good trade for the Suns... Now that can match up against the big men in the west in the playoffs, and that's all they've been lacking in the past couple playoff runs.

Dallas is a non-factor now, they might even fall out of playoff contention with how good the west is right now. Lakers are a very solid team, but it will be interesting to see how Gasol produces once they get Bynum back. Now its Gasol and Kobe just running things, but once Bynum gets back, it might be a change of pace for the Lakers, and will certainly be an adjustment.

San Antonio and Duncan can now be guarded, and it gives Amare a chance to not have to guard Duncan and get cheap fouls inside.

The other teams I don't think have enough to take the Suns in a playoff series.

Yes Detroit destroyed them today, it happens, and just give it time for Shaq to adjust a little more, and things will run smoothly in Pho Town.
