Arghhhh, I was just about to make this thread too!

Well, here's a thought:

Buffalo Sabres were the powerhouse of the league last year, but I have a feeling that will change. With some of their main veterans gone, they are sending a message to the younger players to step up to the plate and play all out.

To be totally honest, I'm glad the Sabres aren't the dominant team they were last year. Because they were dominant, they generally got very complacent all the time and really didn't worry about winning near the last half of the season. That attitude definitely was seen in the playoffs against the Rangers and Senators in Round 2 and 3.

But I definitely have to say I am still pleased with the players they have this season.

Players to Watch:

Ryan Miller
Thomas Vanek
Maxim Afinogenov
Jason Pominville
Brian Campbell
Tim Connolly
Drew Stafford

I really wouldn't be surprised if Buffalo gets in the top 4 in the Eastern Conference this year. They are still a good team, only missing Briere and Drury.

Well, I think that Ottawa will still be a dominent force this year, but all the other teams will be gunning for them now. It will be hard but I think that they can still place well.

Like always, go Devils. I have a fantasy draft starting soon at 7pm central. I'm prepared to take who I want to.

I'll discuss my picks later.

ESPN magazine said the Buffalo Sabres were the #1 sports franchise in the US when considering NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA. The dynamics of every part working together make the Buffalo Sabres a unique franchise.

I really think Buffalo has become Hockeytown, USA instead of Detroit over the last few years. You really have no idea how crazy people are about the Sabres here until you've come.

Hell Yea go Devils. A lot of devils fans seem to be nervous about this year due to the losses in Scott Gomez and Brian Rafalski. Ill admit i was at 1st, but when they started signing players like Danius Zubrus, and knowing that the bulk of the Devils team is still intact (Elias, Gionta, Marty, and others). I like the devils chances of going far this year. I mean how can you not expect them to do so with arguably the greatest goaltender in the history of the game?

Yes, you should. Non-stop action for three 20-minute periods with intermissions after every period.
