Against the second best team since the all star break in the west too!
BTW, Bernier FTW!
2 goals in 2 shots in the first period! DAMN!
It's a shame he couldn't get the hattrick though!

I saw those highlights and dayme, Bernier came out pretty strong for his first game in the Sabres uniform! You guys might be god damn excited =) At least I would be. What's funny is that yesterday night, 3/4 traded players scored goals for their new team. Weird. Hlavac, Bernier, Halpern, blah blah blah. Also, what a night for Sundin.

John Paddock. Apparently, he wasn't rough/tough enough with his players, thus his firing. Add to that the fact that the Sens have been struggling these last few games and you've got the reason why he got fired. Life's a b..ch I guess.

Yeah, everyone here in Buffalo wanted Regier fired after Briere and Drury left. Imagine if last season we had traded Briere and Drury. We'd have a much more solid team!

Looks like Murray is coming back. It's ok, because everyone hates him! I suppose job security for a head coach isn't there if your GM can skate!

I'm hoping Hasek comes back next season as a backup for the Sabres to finish off his career here. Those were the glory days when the Dominator owned the game!

with the senators quickly falling...any early predictions on who's takin the Eastern conf.

i got detroit in the west and a semi-sleeper in the east in pittsburhg

the penguins got loads of talent if they just put it together now, we could see them in the finals for the cup

Buffalo is going to come out and win every game from this point on to take conference lead. LOL!

Hasek will be done after this season with the Wings. Howard's waited long enough. So you can have Hasek for all we care.

I see Pittsburgh or Ottawa coming out of the East. Ottawa will get there act together, find more scoring from players other than the Big 3, and solidify their goalie position. If Pitt's goalie situation is figured out and is solid they have a great chance to win their conference. Conklin's been very hot along with Malkin. Now that Pitt has arguably the best scoring line (when Crosby comes back) in the East that could ride them to the FInals.

San Jose doesn't have enough secondary scoring to go anywhere. I see either Anaheim or Detroit coming out of the West again. Once Detroit gets healthy they will be awful tough to beat in a 7-game series. Anaheim is basically the exact same team as last year except for a fresh Selanne and Niedermayer. Dallas might make a good run but its too early to tell who they will play first round.

I'm hoping your GM fails yet again to sign a superstar (Ryan Miller) and he elects to come back to his hometown and play for us in Hasek's absence. I am looking at 2 years and MIller is a Red Wing.
