Boulder has some nice slopes. I usually go to Vail when I visit my mom in Colorado though. Snowboarding ftw.

Anyways, my question is about boots. Whatever sport you're doing, a lot of your power comes from the bend in your ankle, allowing you to jump high off the ground, rotate your body, have a more powerful stride, etc.. The problem with ski boots I find is that they limit the range of motion in your ankles. So I was wondering how you park skiers do up your boots? I find that leaving my top two buckles undone allow me to bend more, and therefore a higher vertical, but I lose a lot more control because the boots are looser.

Any tips on buckling your boots, or boots that allow a greater bend?

Thanks.
Well MBull, I myself am an all mountain skier. I love the park as well as the powder and groomers from time to time. Went skiing today at Askutney with my brothers boots: Salomon Eclipse Af's. I have used them before and I have to say they are the most flexable boots and all around greatest I have ever used. Good for booting small jumps because they are light, and I absolutely love them. Unfortunately Salomon doesn't sell them anymore, and I had to find my pair on ebay. If I was to recommend an equivalent, I would have to go on pro ratings. Here are the two that match up in what you want.

Rossignol Scratch - - - http://www.rossignol.com
(In the booots section on the right, couldn't get a direct link)

Salomon Kaos - - - http://www.salomonski.com/us/product...-2-788843.html

Hope these help.
Best regards.

PS - Askutney today = All powder baby. Thought I'd throw that in for good measure.

Thought I'd put this out there. New gear for the season, coming soon when I get the rest of the money to buy it.

- Skis -
4FRNT 2008 MSP 161s

- Boots -
Salomon Eclipse AFs
(Best boots I've ever had)

These are not them, mine are much older, but they kind of look the same.

- Bindings -
Salomon Z12s

My version of these are also much older.

- Pants -
EMS Qs
(These things NEVER get wet, good for spring skiing)

Again, mine are a bit different

Hows the spread look boys?

OMG! I went snowboarding Monday afternoon when it was like 65 degrees out in Buffalo NY. The conditions weren't that incredible, but having the temperature around 65 degrees in the middle of January is incredible as it is here in Buffalo.

Anyway, I'm rolling with an M3 board, Technine bindings, and 32 boots. I'm definitely looking for suggestions for getting new gear for next year, so if anyone has any ideas for boards and bindings, please tell me. There's absolutely no way that I can possibly change brands for boots though. 32's are by far the best boots I've ever tried because they are incredibly light, and lighter than most of my normal footwear. So if anyone can give suggestions, rock on!
