Well Its the end of my school year so I thought I would post a few of my photos. All of these were taken on my 35 mm black and white and were produced in my schools dark room using different tequniques... I have 19 right now but I might update later with a few others... Not sure if I should put them on my dA yet... You tell me =P

Thats it for now. Might make a new thread with the rest that I develop before school is out. The rest of the film that I have to print turned out amazingly good so I have a lot of great pictures to develope...

DId they look like that with the border or did you add it in photoshop.

All of them are very very nice. I like 1,4,5, and 8 the best.

Nope, All I did in photoshop was flip them around since I failed scanning them... What causes that border effect is the film tracks... Some of them dont have that because I removed them with a photo paper holder thing (Dunno what its called...)

Oh ya, I should tell you where a few of these are taken since you might know the places... The last three are taken at sand point in one of the little bunker places... 16, 8, 6, 3, and 4 were taken at the pond right next to my school (Hale as im sure you remember... =/). 11-15 are down at the train tracks downtown near costco, and the rest were at my house =P

I mean, I like where you're going with photography but you really need to do more than just black and white shots. My favorite aspect of photography is capturing the perfect colors in a photo and making sure they're brought out just right.

Of course color photography is a lot harder, but the benefits are just so much better. Oh, and you don't get pit with the loser scene kids who claim to be future professional photographers while shooting with their parent-bought Rebel XT.

You are completely wrong on this matter. I could be 10x better at color photography then I am at black and white photography if I only had a camera. In color photographjy all you have to do is take a shot and place it into photoshop to create its own environment. In black and white photography you actually have to wait for a moment of beauty. The camera itself has to be set for the lighting by hand, and when all those meet a picture is born. You then have to print the picture by hand with tools that have been used since the 1800's. It is an art to develope photos in a dark room and is a far more respectable thing to do. Hell, photos that have been developed in a dark room cost 20x more then color photos because the photographers acutally use silver in developing the print. And frankely, I believe that black and white gives a better feel to the mood and gives more emotion to the piece.
