For all of those who don't believe you need to say the pledge, i believe thats perfectly ok. But refusing to stand up for it, is kinda pety, you don't have to say it, but don't disrespect the pledge in front of others who do respect it.

we have to stand for the pledge but are not required to say it (im in 11th) but they where also talking about bringing bible studies to public schools....i go to a public school the 2nd largest in my state if not the biggest

At my school you don't have to say the pledge, but most teachers do make you stand up and at the max put your hand over your heart.
