I do believe that God knows what he/she/it is doing.
Though I do not if God knows our future or knows our fate.

So I guess I really am actually "investigating" like you are, but not investigating God's existence, I am investigating motives and reasons for creating Humans...

I believe God is there and the thing I would love to know is why. Why does God need to create us?
Religion gives a reason to this, though I am not buying it right now.

So with me, I am not fully formed in what I TRULY believe, for the moment though, I think God is all-knowing, in the sense that he/she/it has a reason for created Humans.

Better?

Ok, I'm gonna just go ahead and say what I was gonna say. If you believe that God is omnipotent, then wouldn't he know that you truly believe? If so, why pray to him to show that you truly believe. Not only that, he would already know what you need, and thus your prayers would be unecessary and have zero impact on whether or not you get what you want. It would merely be up to him to either answer you or not.

If you don't believe he's omnipotent, then is he really all that special? Also, if he isn't omnipotent, what is he and where is he?

The first paragraph is to you, but the stuff after is merely me thinking outloud.

He/she/it is the essense of creation (IMO thus far). God is special because god answers us (for some reason or another) and created everything (for some reason or another). These reasons are what I will be trying to find out as my life progresses. It is stupid to claim we know all before our time is up.

The day I say I have came to my conclusion about life, the universe, and God, will be when I am in my final hours of life, sitting on my deathbed and contempalting.

Read my thread on Einstein, very influential to me...

You said you didn't know, that's why the word "if" is present in my question.

Does he answer us? Or is it a stapler that is answering us? Or better yet, is it the government listening to you and manufacturing answers for you in an incredibly believable manner?

What happens if you die tomorrow? Will you have come to a conclusion? I'd rather come to a conclusion sooner than my deathbed.

The government is not an essense of creation.

The stapler could very well be God... Oh wait, i just remembered something. I said God was an essense... Therefore god cannot be a stapler (or anything we can fathom).
I am praying to an essense. The "limited" capabilities of a stapler and of the government will not match the "independent" capabilities of the essense of everything which I would like to call God.

If I do not get the luxury to contemplate while I am about to die, then I guess my latest most recent theories will hold true...

So If I died tomorrow, I would believe that God exists, that he/she/it is not omnipoten, he/she/it is the ESSENSE of creation and the sustainer of it.
I would believe that I was a morally good person on Earth because I felt it was the right thing to do, regardless of God. I would feel that I had the backbone to believe in God (Essense) that answered me and not deny it.

Therefore thats what would most liekly be my beliefs If I died tomorrow...

Sixty years form now it may be different.

How do you know the stapler isn't the essence of creation? Maybe he lives deep inside of Mars and has been doing all sorts of things we don't know about because he does them in such a way that they are hidden from us. He could be trying to communicate with us through radiowaves only picked up by staplers with Wi-Fi capapbility and the only reason no one has talked with him is because we don't have any staplers with Wi-Fi capability.

Wouldn't you rather come to a definitive conclusion before you die though? What if the conclusion you come to is that there isn't an afterlife? Wouldn't you want to know that earlier than like 5 hours before you die?

Me, personally, no. I would actually want to live for something. To me, living for something is like preparing for something bigger. That thing that is bigger if the afterlife, whether it exists or not, it will make me be the best of what my capabilities are.

I would think that an afterlife is something to die for, not live for. If I found out there was no afterlife, I'd be grateful for the information. I don't dismiss the possibility of an afterlife, but its mere existence doesn't play any role in how I live my life, nor do I see any reason why it should.

Are you sure the Doctors didn't have anything to do with it?

For everyone:

How often do you pray for something that would need a miracle to happen? How often does it work?
