Simple, right?

Ok, so let's say you believe in a stapler. How does that translate into a religion?

Lmao, who said I had to be religious?

Why can't I be moral for the good of humanity and believe in the stapler that gives me answers...

Actually, let's forget about you being religious, let's backtrack for a moment because something just occurred to me.

Ok, so you are saying you believe in God because he answers you prayers. I would like to ask you why you were praying in the first place. If you didn't believe in God before he started "answering" your prayers, who were you praying to? If you weren't praying in the sense of number 2 in those definitions, then was it number 1? If so, then why are you asking in a humble manner. If you are asking for something in a humble manner and not asking a specific person then you have to be asking either for a higher power to answer you directly or for him to guide someone else to answer your prayers. If this is the case then do you already on some level believe in that higher power (we'll stick with the stapler for now)? If not, then why are you praying?

No. I believed in God before he/she/it answered me.

I believed in God way before he/she/it started answering my prayers. My prayers simply CONFRIMED God.

I pray for both of those definitions.

1) I pray for guidance.
2) I pray for Certain things to happen (Unmaterial)

---

1) I address God and tell him/her/it to keep doing whatever it is they are doing for me, and I thank God.
2) I say God is the greatest at least 2 times in each of my prayers. meaning that I adore God.

----

I have been praying ever since I was 5, to show God my sincerity in him/her/it.

My first prayer was answered when I was 12, my second answer when I was 15, and a third just recently.
All this did for me is confirm my faith, and gave me NO reason to doubt God.

So, yes, I believed SINCERLY in God, before any of my prayers were ever answered.

While i was in the hospital i was watching good morning america, they did a little experiment and had 100 christians pray for 100 sick people and then they had 100 sick people that didnt have anybody pray for them. The results of the experiment were that the people who were prayed for actually got worse (not all of them but most), and the people who didnt get prayed for got better... the only thing i can conclude from this is that i wouldnt want to be prayed from if i was sick...

You were praying since you were 5 years old and only 3 have been answered. I dont know how old you are but since you seem to be old then 16 I am going to say that those are enough prayers and not enough prayers being answered to call those 3 coincidence.

If you didnt get what i meant its the prayer being answered to prayers not being answered ratio. If I prayed about things every day since i was 5 i would bet at least 3 would come true by just pure coincidence. Im sorry but the ratio is just to big.

Lol. sadly you didnt experience it for youself, I am sorry and wish everyone could.

I am talking major answers BTW (I would prefer not to disclose them as they are personal), not little things that could be coincidence.
I have had many minor answers aswell, that all the more while backed me up.

My prayers are not to win a lottery or to get lucky in a game...

My prayers are for security in my mind, for faith in God, for my and my families safty (in this life and the next). I pray to show God I truly believe.

Being skeptical, like I said, is temporary. Sadly you were not me and the feeling you get when you have something answered is unfathomable unless it happens to you.
