It's not being stingy, it's being rational. Say I'm walking down Washington Aveenue on South Beach and I happen upon a really hip nightclub that I had no idea existed. Does that mean that I can't get in, even if I'm appropriatly dressed and with some hot ladies (nightclub like that sort of thing)? If I die and suddenly I'm sitting before someone that will judge me. If they are using whether or not I believe that I would in fact be before someone judging me as criteria, then they are sh.tty judges and not worthy of judging me. That's like the nightclub barring Paris Hilton just because she didn't know they were there, which would be retarded reason to keep her from coming in.

I am looking at the big picture, however if the details don't add up, then the big picture doesn't make any sense. I am contemplating the afterlife, I don't know what bigger picture there is, however what I am not doing is fooling myself into believing that I'm doing anything other than contemplating. So again I say, I don't know what bigger picture there is than the afterlife, but that's what I was looking at, so your statement doesn't make any sense.

That isn't my sole purpose, it jsut so happens that it's working out that way. I agree that the answer is not here on Earth, if there even is an "answer". I don't think though, that simply believing that something exists will make you amazingly better off than someone who lived life virtuously and doesn't believe. Nor have you given me cause to think any such thing. Since you seem incapable and unwilling to put forth any reasons why, which is really all I was searching for by coming into this thread, then I will leave. I can do without this back and forth of question and non-answer.

I have no interest in arguing the existence of God with you. I went off on a tangent having to do with God's existence, but I wasn't trying to refute his existence, nor the possibility of his existence. However, since it didn't have very much to do with Islam, I will ask you this so you can answer it. Why is "Covering Your Ass" going to make you better off in the afterlife than simply living a good life, being respectful of God's creation (assuming there is one), and showing kindness towards others?

Islam is just more accepting of Judaism and Christianity.
Also, people claim that Islam gives more rational answers to questions than the other, not a fact, but a claim by converts and the like.

Jews don't accept Christians and Christians dont exept Jews, and neither accept Islam.
Though in the Core I believe that they all beleive the same thing.
That there is a God, and that we must be good, and believe in God.

So if you dont want to be part of organized religion don't.
You can just be good and believe in God.
