Im am choosing religion for many reasons Cursed.

I have faith that my unanswered questions will be answered and fulfilled by God if I do as God says.
I have faith to satisfy God, to show him I appreciate the fact he will tell us everything, and to better myself.

Just like I have faith that if I do as my mother says;
(Go to college and you will have a greater chance of being secure than if you dont). I will have better chances and more answers:

I go to college to satisfy her, to see whats its all about, and to learn more.
It is not hurting me to go to college.
As its not hurting me to go and believe in God.

My grandparents raised my mom like follows:

From birth they told her not to believe in all the phony bolony about God and to be smart and enjoy life.

She grew up knowing prolly as much as you know about religion and questioning it and reasoning it as much as possible, till this day me and her have hour long discussion about why God would create us and this and that. We dont blindy follow Cursed, I am different than your everyday religious guy.

My mother then proceeded to put herself through college and eventually Law school. She was not dumb about religion she knew all about religion but still wasnt convinced. She then met my father who was Muslim and knew all abuot Islam.

My mother then went and analized the Koran like it was a court case worth one-billion dollars, she tried to find everything in her power wrong with it, but only a few nitty gritty details in this age of her life remain as nail-biting questions, that remain unanswered to her.

She doesnt like rituals and thinks they can be primtal, though she prays to god 5 times a day in her head and simple says that she acknowedges there is a God, but reasons for anything else is beyond being ansered on Earth.

Point of the story is this.

Dont bombard me with this and that, I personally think religion has been altered by man to a point of no return, besides the fact their is a god and we must act morally.

My way of life is this, I pray like my mother 5 times a day. Recently I started doing the traditional Islamic prayer to try it. I am also Fasting this month to try it. It is not killing me or harming my intellec or quesitoning in any way.
I act good and do good things, I save myself for marraige cuz I have controlled my animalistic desire to have sex with everything with a hole.

I mean, cursed, where are you getting at, that religion is flawed because common sense says so?
Then so be it fo you, we are both walls talking to eacher and asking each other to each near one another, yet we are both cemented to the other side of the world.

This is sorta a rantful post and I didnt really have much direction in it, but make of it what you will.

If your mother would take a long hard look at the Bible, she'd see that there's nothing "wrong" with it either. There can't be anything "wrong" with a claim that has no backing. Because it all falls back to that glorious piece of sh*t philosophy we call "faith". I think your mother has other reasons for believing in Islam, that I really don't feel like discussing because I just don't care.

And stop...STOP talking about "acting morally". If you really looked at things objectively, you would never, ever say that. It practically insults me when people say that.
