I am really getting tired of reading this thread with all its tangents about god. Firstly the questions some of you are asking are ridiculous and the defending I see is often horrible. I read through the entire thread to know what I was getting myself into before I posted. If you have questions about the validaty of islam I will be willing to help as well. No one asked me but I felt it was neccassary. Starting off with a few basics.

1. Islam has sects just like any other religion.
--Sunni Islam being the largest sect followed by Shi-ite Islam
---Unlike other religions Islam has 2 large sects that control the top 90 percent ---of muslims.

2. I will follow up questions not based on sects but by Quaranic Fact.

3. Hadith is the word of the prophet passed down by people

4. The quaran is said to be the word of god through angel gabriel(as) sent to Muhammad(A.S.S.) for all of mankind.
--Keynote here is that people still have not been able to change this or alter the verses in any way. The Quaran is an compilation of anecdotes and Science written in poetic form.

5. I will now attempt to answer questions a bit more thouroughly


Women in Islam.
Quaran States Surah An-Nur Ayah 31
--And say to the faithful women to lower their gazes, and to guard their private parts, and not to display their adornment except what is apparent of it, and to extend their coverings to their bosoms (jaybs), and not to display their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers, or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their womenfolk, or what their right hands rule (slaves), or the followers from the men who do not feel sexual desire, or the small children to whom the nakedness of women is not apparent, and not to strike their feet (on the ground) so as to make known what they hide of their adornments. And turn in repentance to God together, O you the faithful, in order that you are successful

Id like to say a few things.
1. Islam is Equal for Both men and Women. Women are not told to cover there faces. The Quaran States to follow 6 things in this ayah.

--) Lower the gaze.

--2) Guard the private parts.

--3) Not display the adornment "except what is apparent of it".

--4) Cover There Bosoms.

--5) Not display the adornment except to the people listed in the ayah.

--6) Not stamp the feet so as to give knowledge of hidden adornment.

This is translated strictly from the quaran. When you see people wearing face coverings in certain places it might be that they want to or that they are forced to depending on where they are. The area where muslims learn to cover there hair derives from Hadith. It is mearly suggested to do this in the quaran while the others are simply mandated.

Science in Islam
The quaran is based mostly around science.
1. Here is just a very small proof of science. God has said to mankind that "we have sent iron down to you" which is elaborated but I dont want to get into this right now. By Iron they mean the metal. How would a few muslims over 1300 years ago know about Iron. Iron was not discovered to be from outer space late after this. Another small Scientific Example would be that the Quaran States that the Ka-aba in the Holy city of Mecca was the beinging of the creation of the Earth. Scientist have just now today realised that the begining of the Earth Started somewhere in the Middle Eastern Region. Yet Muslims Know this now. I can give endless Scientific Miracles. Terrorism and Islam.

I like to start off by saying Jihad does not mean holy war
Jihad means A struggle
And the Biggest struggle is said to be Man against Himself
A Stuggle with oneself is the biggest Jihad

I dont condone Terrorism myself and neither does Islam. Terrorist are groups of people who are brainwashed into doing something. Crashing a plane into a WTC with not give you 100 something virgins in Paradise. This belief is completly wrong and not written any way in the Quaran.

Commiting Suicide in Islam is said to be completly against the religion. The Quaran states that the punishment for suicide is a lifetime in hell. There are some restrictions to this.

Let me give an example of this. A person in palestine lives her life normally. one day a person from jerusalem comes and gives her husband and kids with guns and tanks. How is this women to fight back. Unlike Jerusalem, Palesinians get no aid from America. So they do not have guns or tanks. They have no weapons what so ever. They only thing they have to offer is there life for there country. A country that they lived in for countless times. And one Day The Jewish people decide to come back to the Promise land. So the women goes into an area with a bomb strapped to her where she kills 22 jewish people.

Islamicly this is debatable. I will not debate it however. That is just something for you to think about. I dont condone terrorism once again just in case someone forgot.

This idea that Islam takes from christianity and Judaism is completly False. Islam is its own religion and takes nothing from the other 2 religions.

Where in the quaran does is say that mariam is moses's sister. Is says that Mariam is Sister-in Law to Zackeriah. I dont know where your getting your facts but I suggest you read before you post fake facts. And the word ALLAH is not PAGAN. Allah simply means GOD in Arabic.
