- Culture treats women badly, not Islam.
- I chose Islam because of its way of life, and because it gives me mental satisfaction over the other religions.
Such as:
1.) I hate the idea of confessing to a preist, he is a man like me.
In Islam, when you feel you have sinned and want to confess for forgiveness just tell God you are repenting and you are sincere and you wont do it again.
2.) I am not forced to go to a church or be condemned, I can pray at home or anywhere for that matter. Pray is between you and God, it is direct. So we pray 5 times a day, so what? the whole purpose of our being here on Earth is a test, and quite frankly I am not going to forget that. So praying 5 times a day keeps you reminded.
3.) The trinity does not make sense to me. If God can be born, then he is not almighty and omnipotent. There must be another being that is. In Islam it says that God "confirmed" within Mary the holy spirit and there came Jesus. Not only that, why would God die for us? Our being here on Earth is a test. Muslims do not believe in Original Sin. We are born pure.
4.) Islam is amazingly detailed and has answers to every quesiton you have.
I am not a scholar in Islam, but I am learning, so if you ask me a questiona nd I cannot answer it sometimes, that means I have not studied it yet. Peopel spend their whole lives studying it.
5.) Islam is the most fair religion to women, as most female converts would say...
6.) Islam very simply means submission to our creator, God, Allah, whatever you want to call the creator. Peace is also another realm of Islam, that sadly, most arabs cannot do, they act on emotion more than anything else.
7.) Islam says that Judaism and Christianity are welcome to be with them so long as they submit to God, whatever you take that to mean, take it.
8.) The Islamic prayer is all about focusing everything you got on God. Like meditation is focusing all you got on clearing your mind or on a certain object or meaning.
9.) Ramadan teaches us to control our-selves and learn self-discipline. Which I really like, since most arabs during Ramadan act how they should and control their stupid emotions.
10.) The Qu'ran was sent down to Muhamamd threw an angel in a cave.
If you read this it will give you his biography.

The Qu'ran in of itself is very amazing, and I do not believe man could be that thoural about life and the past, present, and future.

Making fun of something you know nothing about is immature IMO.
thanks for being smart and willing to be open.
