In a college class room, professors want students to ask questions, and get a little bugged when you don't. It's good to get into the habbit of asking good questions at a young age, because you don't want to get to college and not know how to ask the right question.

Just to let you know, that teacher has probably taught 100s of class's with kids just like you in them...so it probably did not bother them.

The issue at hand isn't whether or not the teacher was 'bothered', it's that the teacher didn't bother to answer the question. It's the teacher's job to
know, and thusly, it's their job to teach what they know to the students.

Secondly, he probably didn't want to side track the lesson he had planned out to answer a question that has tons of various theorys/kinds.

I've never met a teacher who didn't have 15 spare minutes in the lesson plan set aside for diversions.

Before Jesus died on the cross, you had to follow the ten commandments to the best of your ability, believe fully in God and the Old Testament, and make a sacrifice each year as a sort of scape goat for you sins.

And what did the people do before the Ten Commandments? It's a varifiable fact that several written set's of law had been established a thousand years before the first Hebrew prayed to YHW.
