I am an athiest and I celebrate christmas. For my family, it's a time to get together and give/get presents. We aren't exactly in it for the religious reasons...

oh ok so you just take it as another holiday like thanksgiving...excpet you give presents...i guess thats cool family gatherings are fun..expeciallywhen you get presents

Christmas is much more of a commercial holiday. There is a much higher correlation between Christmas and Santa than Christmas and Jesus to 90% of people who celebrate it. (Source: none)

My parents are both atheists, and we celebrate christmas with my aunt (Whos jewish), another family (who's muslim), and my grandparents (who are christian). Its just another gathering of people. Just because you don't believe in the origin, doesnt mean you can't take the message to heart.
