There has never been such a thing as a godless society. The only thing that ever came close was the Soviet Union, and more than 75% of their population was Orthodox Catholic.

If fact, what I just said isn't entirely true. Modern day Japan is, by far, the most atheistic nation on Earth. I'd elaborate more, but I plan on starting a thread on it.

At one time, Cuba outlawed religion, so they came close to being "godless" also.

What? Fidel is a hardcare Catholic...I think your confusing Cuba with the Soviet Union. The Soviets tried to outlaw religion, but their society was so heavily religious it didn't work out.

He's made that claim before, but when you invite Pope John Paul II to visit your country and bless you (as happened in 1991), your not a real atheist.

Look at my post, he had been excommunicated by Pope John XXIII. He was excommunicated because there was a decree stating that Catholics could not support Communist governments.
