OK, before anyone flames me, I used the search button searching Atheist, Morality, so Don't flame me.

I am just sorta wondering, I geuss, while of course I am geussing as I am wondering, but do atheist's, truly have to be moral? I mean if someone goes out annd kills a man, it is unmoral, but will they feel upon it, as in, when a child steals a choclate bar, will they ever look back on it and sigh, if they are atheist, when if a christian child were to do so, they wuld look back on it and appoligize to themselves, and god.

So I am asking, what is your view on that statement, personally I believe that a true atheist does not care if something is moral or not, they will do it if they want to.

Just because someone is an atheist does not mean they don't have basic human emotions like guilt.

Obviously. In kindergarten I stole a lego, but I returned it. I didn't even know about Christianity in kindergarten, and I doubt many others did either.

Yeah. Secular Humanists are far less likely to comit a crime than Christians. Look at Japan, they are the most atheistic nation on Earth and they have the lowest crime rate of ANY nation - conversly, America is one of the most Christian nations on Earth, yet we have the highest incarceration rate of any industrialized nation. The notion that religion is necessary for law and order is a complete load of crap, and the REAL world proves it.

Anyone can be immoral.

It isn't just limited to Atheists.

I have emotions and act on them. I am the same as you. Anyone that is human and physically competent is the same as you. Only I do not kill in the name of god.

Just because Atheists do not believe in god and do not follow the same path, does not make them any different of a person. There are men who will follow God and still do the uttermost evil deeds. For example, Hitler was christian, yet he still killed over 6.5 million Jewish inhabitants. That is immoral.

Just because someone is different doesn't mean that they will act any different. Many of the morals christianity gives, are found other places in humanity, in different types of people. For example, many people do not believe in mad amounts of sex prior to marriage, and some do not even believe in any sex before marriage, christian or not, they still have the same beliefs.

None-the-less. He belonged to a church, was baptized, went through his confirmation, and attended a catholic school for some time. In the room that he shot himself in, there was a Roman Catholic Bible found.

An atheist is guided by his or her own views, it's really that simple. There are reasons not to kill someone besides "God says so".
