I'd like to apologize to anyone here who isn't a Christian for the way 'Christians' around here have been acting.

Within the past couple of months, there have been maniacs in this forum in particular starting fights about religion. They go about it in the most aggressive, annoying, ignorant way possible, every time. I don't know how they manage that, but they do.

It's too bad that it's always the stupid Christians everyone remembers. There's always the stupid people of any persuasion, but the stupid athiests hardly ever make so much of a fool of themself that it causes an uproar. Lately there have been some stirring things up, but some have and I assume the others will eventually calm down.

Please don't take the way some fools act as a generalization to religion. He is an idiot. If you'd like a respectful, intelligent, thought out conversation and/or debate about Christianity, talk to either me, Rebal, or ekkatan. Froggy is Jewish, but he'll vouch for the existance of God respectfully and intelligently too.

I'd especially like to apologize to Mobb and Cursed Lemon. It seems you two were at the center of his attacks, mostly because you were outspoken. I admire your attempts to quell his stupidity, and I'm sorry he wasted your time.

If anybody would like to add anything, be my guest. Not quite a debate in this thread, but I felt it was a necessary post.

If you want a neat debate, head over to the free will thread. I'm interested in some different point of views.

Ahh....that's cute....He wants all the people "claiming" to be christians to apologize.

First off, it really doesn't matter what the christians say, Athiests will never turn to God over a Halo forum site.

Secondly, you don't have the correct Christian views that God would like us to have....IMO....so don't act like your so holy and know everything.

Thirdly, this thread just reconfirms the fact that you are and will forever be a tool.

Fourthly, this is not a debate and if someone other then Equiv (who is on everyones nuts) haven't of made it, it would have been closed in 2.3 seconds.

We were just having some fun last night flaming everyone and making fun of people, we weren't trying to save the world....like I guess you would like us too. I personally have gotten sick of trying to out debate when I haven't seem a SINGLE person change their opinion, so there is absolutely NO point trying to convert people....so you might as well have a good time.

Ok so that kid was way out of line with the things he said but what about the people that responded by telling him he was an ignorant f..k for believing in God? Is that not a generalization for all Christians? It seems that atheists on this site have nothing but contempt for the Christians for believing in something that they believe to be nothing more than superstition.

Nobody called him an ignorant f..k for believing in God. I never insult people's beliefs, I insult people for the horrible people that they naturally are.

I would like to:

1. Thank you for the honorable mention. And likewise...confirm that you are a smarter Christian than most of the ignoramouses who come here just to "talk down" to people who aren't Christians (Right Back Atchya! ). Thanks for helping spread a "good name" rather than the hate that I see a lot of my fellow bretheren spouting.

2. State a formal apology, just to make sure that I haven't overstepped my boundaries...and offended anyone beyond what is preventable.

Religion is not an easy topic to talk about without stepping on SOMEONE's toes.

Just know that not ALL of us Christians are here to criticize......some of us are here to spread good news, and help keep the "stupid ones" in check. Sorry I can't COMPLETELY review every single "christian" statement for it's validity....but you all have to understand that just because they SAY they are Christian, doesn't mean that they are.

As some of you Athiests and Agnostics (who care about your choice) know...there are ignorant kids out there claiming to be an atheist when they are really agnostic, and vice versa. Kinda the same situation...so cut the "decent ones" a break, huh?

True you did not call him anything. Look at MoBB's first few posts and OneJulyDay's posts near the end. True the kid seemed to be singling them out and maybe I missed part of what he said but the things they said about the Christian faith make a broad generalization about all the followers. I just read through thread and was slightly offended by the way they casually think Christians to be completely stupid people.

So I'm assuming you think you are more qualified to be the dedicated christianity expert on this site right? If at any time during this sites existence you are allowed to assume that role, I will leave, no questions asked.

Well, I sympathize if they did. I PMed Tanker and practically asked him to ban me, lest I open up another infuriated flame on the threadstarter in that thread, so I know that dealing with morons like that can make you say some hasty stuff.

You...just as well as I know...that God works in mysterious ways...and uses all KINDS of mediums to get his point across.......EVEN A HALO FORUM. And if what you say is true...then why would you be here trying to represent him, if you've lost all hope?

I understand that people get tired of hearing things they don't personally believe in so I can understand why they would lash out like that but I also wish that people would remind that when you lash out at a person because of their belief system you are also lashing out at all members of that religion. I am not here to try to convert anyone because I know that no one on this site is likely to allow themselves to be converted to a religion. I would not try to convert anyone in real life because I do not think I am smart enough or have strong enough faith to lead anyone else. All I ask is that people think before they go and insult a belief structure because while the insults are usually aimed at an instigator, the comments could be used as a broad generalization. This goes for everyone, not just those that are against religion.
