Just wondering. I don't understand how I have full responsibility of being offended.

Does that mean if I say "fag", the gay person I'm around is offending themselves by choosing to be offended by it? Or if I say "n.gger", a black person is offended not because of me, but because they chose to be offended?

Does your mind not have a conception of what those words mean before spoken. Most people only define those terms as racial slurs. And when reading or hearing you will percieve these words as racial slurs, whether the are or not makes only a little difference. You can also choose to ignore the racial slurs or get offended. Choices YOU are making.
