ok this is getting out of hand, id like to try understanding your views. now #1 im christian that doubts my beliefs (daily) and #2 i dont really enjoy arguing so ill make this as breif as i can

I am a part of the people you exemplify in those 10 statements. i admit whole-heartedly ive never read past genesis and the only things i know about god are what my family and friends have told me and i exemplify much more of your 10 statements. But my believe is no matter how dumb someone can be, if they have some consept of faith, they are accepted in god's eyes (crazy people excluded), i believe a person can break all 10 commandments and still be acceptd by god if they TRULY repent for there sins, no matter how much it hurts to see some random person get away with killing or some other sin, if the truly repent they will be saved and if they lie and snake there way out, god will deal with him. I, as a christian will let them go, as much as it hurts to imagine (and i get teary just thinking of it) if some man just walks into my house right now and kills my baby brother and family, and if i trust him enough that he will repent for what he did ill let him go without another word (and i pray that never happens).

ok i understand that what everyone does for there religion is sometimes overboard but id do the same if my god came to me tonight and told me to blow the f**k out of some building, but i believe "everything happens for a reason" did you know in the Qur'an (i dont know how the page system works)

and im not saying there wrong, but there is one similarity christians, jews, and islams all worship the SAME god but believe in different messiahs

its my choice to believe in jesus whether im wrong or not, it is gods decision. but dont come here and dis every christian on stereotypes of the wierd ones and others who dont understand what they worship when some people just dont have the open mind to question what they believe

Well i know you going to come up with somekind of smartass retort for what ive said and i have no peoblem with it. im not here to prove my faith with anyone but i will defend it with my heart and soul. but i just have one request befor you start typing...

please dont use "big" words to confuse me . im proud there are people out there that care enough about there intellegence to increase there vocabulary and im not dumb myself but im intellegent in my own way, and big words dont really help for me to give you a straight to the truth answer. anyway i want to see how understandable you can be using simple street talk (to all the people who think he is twisting his meaning with big words)

My additions:

-With regard to number 7 on the list, I think we can accept god taking the first born because it was done by god, and not through human hands. And today, with violence on the news every night, and a society becoming increasingly tolerant, it is getting harder and harder to believe that the acts of a killer is the will of god. We also, seem quick to pass normal people off as being crazy, physcotic, chemically imbalanced or disease (theres a disease for everything these days).

-As of now I've neither endorsed nor refuted this points. My own personal opinion, is that the points have bits of truth but mainly for humor (hence the LOL in the title). Religion is far more complicated then a couple words can define.

thank you im glad you understood my post (it took me a while before i could make it understandable for myself) and i really like your addition! im astounded that i didnt realize that myself but your exactly right, whats done by god Is done by god; and whats done by man Is by man but its easy to think a man acting for god is crazy. personally i dont believe that god would kill his own children for any reason (i believe the arabics are too busy trying to rid evil of the world and not noticing what there doing to themselves), but if you didnt know god tried MANY ways of convincing the pharaoh to release the isrealites but he continued to use them as slaves, so god pretty much got tired and basicly warned moses, "Prepare Yourself! Because This Guy Is Going To Get It!"

-and i can see the humor in your post, im surprised so many people got offended but i believe that "We could always fix our mistakes if we would only stop denying them" (which i have no problem stating my flaws as a christian), i got that qoute from my religious advicer AKA my sister and thats where i gained my faith, i didnt need the bible or the church to give me one side of there story so i learn from LIFE, my sister told me one day "the bible is the word of god but its a mix of what he wants now and later. these years are completely different from past years, but these stories arent to be ignored, there to be learned from." and religion is INCREDIBLY complicated but i love learning new things from god, and this is no execption ive learned a lot from this post and thank you for that (and trying to put religion to words is just a challenge to me and i think one day i can make it completly understandable to everyone; my sister thinks i could be a good preacher).

How can someone offend themself without anyone sparking the offensiveness?

Just wondering. I don't understand how I have full responsibility of being offended.

Does that mean if I say "fag", the gay person I'm around is offending themselves by choosing to be offended by it? Or if I say "n.gger", a black person is offended not because of me, but because they chose to be offended?
