I seem to remember making this same topic, down to the assumptions

I'd see if I could get away with a simple "Why?". To which I'd expect to get a "Because." Or maybe a "How?" That one's a little harder to dodge without answering atleast a little bit.
If it were the stereotypical Christian one, my questions might end up slightly less "attempting to understand"ish and a tad more "wtf"ish. Maybe for a view of religion as He sees it.

So the true believers will earn the spot to heaven rightfully. |
What defines good believer? One who blindly follows the church? Because I call those people morons. Someone who believes blindly like that would've believed any variation of religion if they grew up with it. Doubt is essential. If we don't question things, we'll end up loosing everything we've accomplished as a race, and civilization would fall apart. *see selected areas of the Middle East
I refuse to believe that blind belief is a desirable characteristic.
Anyways, I'm one of those crazy people who wants to think people are idyllic and don't need the threat of eternal torment to keep them doing the "right" thing. Curse you, human nature, for constantly proving me wrong!
