I was in my Drugs & Society class today and my professor pulled this quote out (i forget who the original author was, I will post it when I find it, and i'm not sure the quote is 100% accurate). The context was in the subculture and environment for drug addicts, dealers, kingpins, etc. The author of the actual quote studied religion IN DEPTH. And by in depth, he explored anywhere from Baptist to religious cults and practically lived among them. The man seemed to dedicate his life to fully understanding religion (as many as possible). I think the quote is self explanatory in how it applies to religion, faith, whatever you want to call it. I don't know, I just found it an interesting quote. It's not a cop out, it's a valid point to consider.
