While I didn't read the whole thing (not enough time now) I can say that according to the bible the pharisees tried to do the same type of thing that this socrate is doing and never really succeeded (of course not the same thing but I'd say its in the same league), but of course thats only according to the bible which I know most of you here don't put much value in...

Jesus must not have been a very good prophet if he couldn't pass his knowledge onto his followers, and leave them with "Jesus would TOTALLY counter those arguments, although I have no idea how".

you guys sure love to use the word ignorant. Pluss Niceguy i dnot know when i ever claimed to be a wise christian so i dont know what you are talking about there. But even if that is exactky word for word what jesus would say it just proves that faith is not logical which anyone could have told you. I dont claim to be logical but i am deffinetly not ignorant.

Ignorant means, lacking knowledge. The Christians in this thread say they know Jesus wouldn't have responded like that, but they're not sure what he'd say (and they have no good reason for saying either of those things). By not knowing what he'd want you to say in his stead, you can conclude pretty quickly that they're ignorant about his ideology.

To break the bounds of logic is to venture into the realm of complete insanity and/or idiocy. Yep, faith certainly isn't logical at all.

I was going to put some witty answer here to come back but im not. You guys have it in your head to destroy christianity and make yourselfs feel good about your unbelife. If thats what you want to do fine but im not gonna be dragged into it. The reason Im not going to go through that is because I know even if I do it wont make any difference. You guys are smart and you know what the bible teaches "some of you" so i would be giving you information you already know and have interpreted to be illogical.

Certainly he doesn't represent all that is wrong in this world, right? I mean, you're going to have a hard time pinning hurricane Katrina on him. Now god, you could certainly pin loads of natural disasters on him...well, you could of the Old Testament didn't say, 'do not look for me in nature, look for me in history'.
