If good is dependent on evil, then removing the good would make everything just mediocre.

It would get rid of the idea of evil but it wouldn't stop people from doing things that we, as of right now, deem evil. What I'm saying is it wont stop wars and all the other things that are going on in our world today. The only difference would be our perspectives towards it.

i think u should believe in god because well then, as does every religion, you have someone to believe in and be there for you if your down or something not really getting into it too much but thats a main reason

Personally, I think it would get rid of existence. It sure would get rid of a lot of problems. It wouldn't really solve them, though.

Believe in yourself, your family, friends, etc. You don't need to believe in some sort of higher power to do good things. Ironically, I was just watching the South Park episode about AA meetings, and their 12 step plan of how you need to believe in G_d to not be an alcoholic...
