Posts: 138 | I don't see how the cause and effect thing can be infinite, that would mean that matter has always been self existing and I just can't comprehend matter just being there though you run into the same problem with the whole "who created God" thing meaning the only reasonable explanation is matter is self existing but then it comes back to "how can something be self existing". *sigh* this is why I try to stay away from these vicious circles of logic. Its just to much for me to try and understand. Quote:

Yeah, you bring up a good point, I don't know how the universe could be infinite either. There isn't anything that I'm aware of that would rule it out though. The problem I have has more to do with a self-sufficient entity. If God can be infinite then there I don't see why the universe can't be infinite either. TMNT
