| | The bible also said that "the sun stopped" when we now know that that is physically impossible. The bible said a lot of things that made little or no sense. It shouldn't be taken literally by any means. The bible says that having sex is a sin. I mean come on, how are we supposed to procreate? It was written by people that were probably high on PCP way after any of this supposedly happened.

For example, in one part of the bible, it is said that a day is to god a thousand years. And in the beginning, the earth is made in seven days. So, given seven thousand years, I am fairly sure any higher being could test, retest, and maybe perfect life forms. Now, thought there is no reason to say we arent in the eighth day test at the moment, we cant do naught about that. Another point relating to this assumption is that carbon dating is innacurate to a high degree. Fossils encased in rock or buried deep beneath the ocean can collect copious amounts of, or miniscule amounts of carbon compared to others. As a result, we have no totally accurate way of testing age. This could show that adinosaurs could have been in existence only seven or six thousand years ago, probably more like four if you want to get into the ooze animal life before hand as a test. In many ways, this theory is a variation of evolution, adapted to fit religion. Another belief I have heard is that, since the bible is written by apostles, it could be just as innacurate as carbon dating in many places. Or in fact, as innacurate as dating altogether. :P So, it could have been a trillion years long, and carbon dating could be just a bit more reliable then mating rituals. A general belief that I would beleive if I believed religion at all is that god in fact ceded life on earth, gave our base forms life and let it go from there. That would also leave open evolution and the continuation of that even now. I believe in evolution highly, and I think that maybe, we will wipe ourselves out, and hpefully other types of animals will evolve into sentience. Though I do hope that that isnt the case, and the few that will be left will be knocked on their asses good and hard enough to start doing things the right way. -Darkness

| | Time is highly relative. It can pass at different rates relative to other places. Acceleration distorts time. That is a tested fact. Time doesn't really mean anything without a reference point. Anyways, it doesn't really make sense to look at G_d in terms of time, especially time within the universe.

Posts: 7 | I have thought on einsteins theory of things traveling through time slower the faster they go. Now this would mean, that light probably, on its perspective plane, would take moments to traverse from where its coming to where its going. Its really not all that hard to understand if you just think that we see it as fast because to it we are incalcuably slow. I hve also thought on einsteins pondering of light in a plane. Supposedly, he was wondering, if you were on a plane going the speed of light, and there was a mirror in front of you, what would you see? Well theres really no answer to that without testing it. Because we dont know how light reacts at that speed, unless we are going it. Its like you have two people in a car, the one in the back throw something towards the front. That object is going faster in relation to the road then the car. Se we dont exactly know if light can be speeded up past its traveling time with that. I believe it is very well possible. So I think you would see yourself. But there is also the factor, that light reacts differently to us at that speed. But no matter what speed we are going, I think we will see the speed as normal, and others abnormal. Woops, back on topic here, light has nothing to do with dinosaurs. Time though, is generally constant as far as the earth goes and on a universal scale, so nothing should have changed the fossils time/speed. Now that I think about it, for the first time I see the relation between time and space, if only on a fundamental level. This is why I love science so much. . . -Darkness
