A hundred dollars overbudget, but I'd go Intel over AMD. You can knock off hundred bucks by going AMD, but stretch that 100 dollars over the life of this computer and it's probably not that much. You might want to pick up an aftermarket cooler if you want to overclock, otherwise the stock one is fine. I can post you an AMD build if you want, lemme know.

$100 over budget gets you a lot more than staying under it.

$100 makes a very, very big difference.

Looks good. Wait no way in hell. You have an AM3 board with an i5.

You could switch the i5/i5 mobo for a Phenom II x4/AM3 mobo and then switch the Barracudas for 2xWD6401AALS and you'll save some cash without sacrificing much performance (considering what you'll be doing, you won't be missing out on enough performance for it to make a difference to you), but you'll have an extra ~280GB of space to work with).

I'd get two WD 640 Greens than those.

5 dollars more each.
